Bio: Hello everyone. I’m a southern girl who loves her husband, family, church and iced tea, sweet, of course. I’m sipping a big glass right now. I love music—from hip-hop to classical and everything in between. I’m a singer who has preformed a variety of styles from Amy Grant’s “Breath of Heaven" to the Andrew Sisters’ “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." I’m also a classically trained violinist who, being from the south, plays a little fiddle music on the side. My hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, hiking in the mountains, and anything related to music. I am currently the “domestic goddess," as my husband like to put it, of our house. I’m also a nanny to my adorable, tri-lingual niece and nephew. There is nothing quite as interesting as teaching a 19th month old everything in three different languages—especially since I’m only passable in their father’s native language and practically illiterate in their mother’s. Thank goodness they all speak English! I wrote “Windows to the Soul" a number of years ago after I experienced a miscarriage. Telling the story helped me get away from my own troubles and was a lot cheaper than therapy! After that, I kept writing. It’s fun. I never really thought of it as more than a hobby, but after I completed novel two my family started pressing me to do something with it. Believe it or not, I’m more comfortable singing in front of a few hundred people than I am sending in a query letter. Then I got off the hook—I had a beautiful baby girl with a lot of medical problems. The next two years I learned more about the medical profession than I ever wished to know. She returned to her Heavenly Father about two years ago, and I thought I would never do anything creative again. But this past summer I pulled out the stories and started writing again. With a little prompting from determined family members, I’ve finally gotten brave enough to join this web site and consider the terrifying possibility of writing a query letter. I’m honored to be a part of such a gifted group of people. Sincerely, Fi
