| Bio: | I'm a high school math teacher with a passion for words and writing stories with interesting plot twists. I've written three complete books and have tried for the past two years to get an agent without any success. Obviously, I need help with my writing. So, I want to join this network and get some much needed feedback on my writing in order to make me ready for publishing. I usually write humorous teenage books, but have also been known to write sappy love stories and heart-wrenching tear jerkers. I read constantly. I read books that catch my eye just from the cover or books recommended to me by my high school students. The last book I read was IF YOU COME SOFTLY by Jacqueline Woodson. I thought it was well written, but depressing. I don't mind if books have sad parts, but I like happy or semi-happy endings. I listed my favorite book as I AM CHARLOTTE SIMMONS by Tom Wolfe only because that's the first book that popped into my head. It could have easily been TESS OF THE d'URBERVILLES by Thomas Hardy or STATE OF FEAR by Michael Crichton. I think I'm going to read and review others'work before I post my own just so I can get acclimated to this site. |
