 | Witch-in-the-Moon | jae | Novel | Fantasy | 1 | n/a | Aug 16, 2008 |
Summary:This story is about a young woman who becomes the witch in the moon, and thereafter falls in love with a man who she sees in her scrying pool. Her passion for the man will bring about her demise. (at least that's my plan if the characters don't ruin it for me)
This supposed to be a short-story. I don't really feel that way about it any more, nor do I think it will be a full length book. Over the past few years I've started a few other stories in the same world as this one, but further along the timeline.
Anyway, I'd like know how the tone of this feels, whether the subject is of any interest, general grammatical malfunctions and style errors, ya know, just critique me to pieces. I'm really interesting in finishing this piece, and I want it to make sense to the reader. And be pretty.
Thank you.Chapters: |

 | The Wisdom of Repugnance | Jeni Decker | Novel | Humor | 9 | n/a | Jul 31, 2008 |
Summary:There is nothing either fundamentally good, nor anything fundamentally evil: Everything is relative... --The Marquis de Sade, The 120 Days of Sodom.
The Wisdom of Repugnance is a dark comedy exploring the individual 'moral compass', and that internal shudder that we are all 'supposed' to have that helps us differentiate between, say, someone who loves kids, and someone who LOVES kids.

 | The Nova Tracks: Chasing Butterflies (Book One) | T.L. Cadence | Novel | Young Adult | 2 | n/a | Sep 24, 2007 |
Summary:Finding the truth is like chasing butterflies, and 16-year-old Nova Harris is about to find out that nobody is exactly who they seem to be.
Nova was content living in the protective bubble and musical haven she created with her best friend, Alex Pace. Nova’s living situation wasn’t nearly as pretty as the houses in her upscale neighborhood and being a 15-year-old junior wasn’t winning Alex any popularity points. Their plan at the start of junior year was simple. Stick together, get jobs, fix up Alex’s car, and embark on a cross-country road trip the day after graduation. Alex always said the open road was their artistic portal.
Everything changes when Alex finally stands up to the belligerent boyfriend of Nova’s stepsister. Alex’s wounds don’t match the severe beating he takes and he refuses Nova’s help. It brings out a side of Alex she’s never seen before; one that causes him to fall in with a ‘rough’ crowd and cut her out of his life, leaving Nova to face the torment of her stepsister and her stepsister’s boyfriend alone.
After Brandon Slater, a mysterious boy with a bad reputation, comes to her defense, he tells Nova that her deadbeat father sent him to look out for her, but insists that telling her why would put her in danger. Determined not to rely on anyone but herself, Nova fights back and uncovers an impossible truth about her family and the reason behind her best friend’s behavior. But it doesn’t end there. Something is slowly unraveling inside of Nova. Something nobody saw coming, least of all herself.

 | Sweet William and Rosemary | Joey C. | Novel | Literary Fiction | 7 | n/a | Jul 13, 2006 |
Summary: SWEET WILLIAM AND ROSEMARY views the world from a child’s perspective, but with its own unique slant. A young girl raised on a literal interpretation of the Bible has her beliefs tested by a skeptical death-obsessed cousin who has been taught that religion is a hoax. He lures her into his morbid and progressively more dangerous "funeral games" and he shares his belief that his violent father has murdered his mother. Together the two conspire to learn the truth. It is a story about adaptation and survival and the evolution of a moral awareness beyond the strict religious code Izzy has been taught. In a climactic scene, she faces danger, even death, and learns the meaning of true courage.
