Summary:

Sam Tabor is a bright child with a promising future, but when her alcoholic mother gets a new boyfriend, her world starts to fall apart piece by piece. Sam hits the streets and stumbles into The Mercury Diner, where she’s told by a kind waitress to seek out a man by the name of Bruno, who can be found in The Jungle. After years in The Jungle, Bruno’s business partner calls in a debt. Sam’s world crumbles again, but a man with multiple identities intercedes on her behalf, and believes the young girl will be safeguarded in a maximum security prison. Out of jail, Sam is offered a safe place to live, but is she really freed from her past, and danger?

I was asked to provide a short article for the Queensland Austin Car Club magazine about my husband's Folly! Andrew is a aficcionado of English cars. Before this drama, he owned and still has a 1959 Austin Farina A40, a 1953Austin AS3 (a work in non-progress) and a long-wheel-based, Land Rover Series 3 4WD. All Sam Champion wants is to earn an honest dollar - or if it's a little less than honest, so be it. He has converted what was once a space passenger liner into a cargo ship and takes on any job that comes his way - as long as it pays well enough. When his team are called on to fight, they are the ones leaving clouds of cosmic dust in the wake of their retreat. So far things have gone smoothly but if Sam thinks he has hoodwinked the establishment, he has another think coming. (although she is not such a regular to this site. The top ten stories will be put into an anthology of the city and into circulation in the city libraries.
