Summary:This is the synopsis I have come up with to send with 30 pages of HBD to an agent next Tuesday. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how I can make it better! Here in Aussieland we do not have to give every little detail in a synopsis, just enough to pique the interest of the agent or publisher.Chapters:

Summary:My first novel attempt. This is about a woman transformed into a werewolf against her will. Tess has to find her way in a world where none of the rules are clear to her. She makes mistkes that risk both her and her younger sister's life. One of her mistakes takes the form of a rogue werewolf who she accidently entices into a mating dance. Plus, those that transformed her seek her for capture and study. She'll have to learn to embrace her animal or be destroyed by it. At this point, I just want to know if the story is compelling. Do the characters work? Do you want to read more?Chapters:

Summary:This is the story of Shara, a contemporary, religious Jewish woman whose past collides with her present. The portrayal of her lifestyle, culture, marriage, etc., are authentic. I am interested in all comments, including nitpicky language issues. I don't mind compliments if you have no criticisms to make. :) They'll help keep me going so I can finish the book. Thank you and enjoy.Chapters:
![]() | The Paralegal Chronicles - Get A Clue | C.B. Swartz | Novel | Mystery and Crime | 5 | n/a | Apr 18, 2008 |
Summary:-Summary- "Get a Clue" Madelyn Berichon, (or if you'd rather not risk bodily injury you can call her Maddi) an accomplished Paralegal/Criminal Profiler in Atlanta, moved to Seagate Island for a fresh start, leaving behind a shattered relationship and taking with her some old emotional baggage and a cat named Orphan Annie. Maddi is what you might call a powerful petite. At first glance she is five feet three inches of slim, blond, blue eyed cuteness (never let her hear you call her cute). After getting to know her a little better, you'll find that she's a compact package of dyno'mite'. On assignment on Seagate Island, Maddi embarks on an exciting and overtly dangerous roller coaster ride to find a vicious killer and prove the innocence of the law firm’s client, while covertly carrying out her mission. Along the way she meets her match in Mac Adams, a freelance investigative journalist. Of course there comes into play the inevitable conflict between paralegal/client confidentiality and the journalistic need for information, but they handle it in a mature adult manner (most of the time). Maddi is undercover as a Paralegal with, Mathews, Rickert and Lyndel, Attorneys at Law. Robert Mathews, the only living member left in the firm and one of two lawyers on the Island, desperately needed the help of a sharp, intelligent paralegal like Maddi. He had been commissioned by millionaire humanitarian William Patterson to defend his son Josh who was charged with the murder of Deborah Jennings, the owner of a local Import/Export business. She was found bludgeoned on the floor of her shop among the artifacts that she had been unpacking. It seems that Josh was found by the police standing over the body with the murder weapon in his hand. Maddi finds herself questioning people such as, Senatorial candidate Rodney Maten and his wife Vallerie, son Nick and Daughter Laurel. They seem to be friendly and cooperative on the surface, yet there is an undercurrent of trepidation. She finds that many of the upper crust "Native Islanders" have more than their share of skeletons in their closets and their lives are full of secrets that they will do almost anything to keep private. In the course of their investigation Mac and Maddi uncover a plot that reaches to the very core of the elite society of the Island and abroad. It's an abhorrent situation that involves drug cartels and politicians and cold blooded murder. It is a conspiracy so intriguingly incredible that she has difficulty convincing authorities and even her own boss that it actually exists. While putting her own life in danger Maddi must make sense of it all, complete her assignment, clear Josh and deal with a budding romance with Mac. She does all this and more in that engagingly funny, candid, one-of-a-kind Maddi way.Chapters:

![]() | The Vacationers | Bart Bevins | Novel | Westerns | 1 | n/a | Mar 4, 2008 |
Summary:This is in the Western genre. While doing research for my other western novel I made an interesting discovery: there were a moderate number of families who went west during the 1849 California Gold Rush with no intention of staying in California. There reasons for doing this varied, but the one constent was they all considered the dangerous journey to be a long vacation or an extended camping trip. The Cook family is one of these families. The Cook family is fictional however the events they face are factual and were found in various emigrant diaries. I have intentionally kept them naive of both the dangers and the distance involved. However, they will have a reality check when they are out on the trail, far too late to head back home. This is a work in progess and is only the first draft. The novel is not complete. I have completed fourteen chapters. Each chapter starts of with a fictious diary entry from the main charcter, Nadine Cook. I should also mention that besides being in the western genre, it is also a wagon train and a gold rush novel set in 1849.Chapters:
![]() | If I had Only Known;Breaking The Silence Of Caregiver Abuse | Brooke Jennings | Novel | Non-Fiction | 2 | n/a | Oct 19, 2007 |
Summary:This book is a non-fiction work, and discusses corporate America's role in the quality of care patients receive in nursing homes, group homes and institutions. The novel is based on true events. Due to the graffic details and personal stories about patient abuse, reader discretion is advised. I am interested in viewer feedback regarding the books informative features, and if it would make you pay closer attention to who you might choose to care for your parents or grandparents if they became bedridden.I would also like to know what emotions it evokes in you,ie; anger, sadness,(writer or patient)or if it makes anyone interested enough to do something about the abuse of these patients?Perhaps thinking of creating advocacy groups, changing laws, writing to government officials etc. Thank you for your interest! God Bless...Happy writing....Chapters:
