Summary:

This started out to be a short story and it grew. It is still growing as the characters don't want to end the story yet. The year is 2025 and they are just trying to survive. All normal ways of living is gone, there is no money and preventing the extinction of the human race is the primary goal. The sole purpose of the propagation ranch called The Stork's Nest is to get as many women pregnant as possible and as often as possible. The Stork's Nest is a well organized and well run resort like ranch. While pregnancy is their goal, this is not a wild orgy. The characters go to the ranch to do their share to help and get a lot more than they bargained. I would like to have some feedback on this story. I normally write in another genre but had this plot line begging to be written.

Dear Confidant is set in a world with no human character, except "Man",who is referred to like God. Decca is a sixteen year old mech growing up with foster parents in the country side. Soon, he'll go home to his real parents, assuming he kills his twin and recieves his title, as is the custom.

All Sam Champion wants is to earn an honest dollar - or if it's a little less than honest, so be it. He has converted what was once a space passenger liner into a cargo ship and takes on any job that comes his way - as long as it pays well enough. When his team are called on to fight, they are the ones leaving clouds of cosmic dust in the wake of their retreat. So far things have gone smoothly but if Sam thinks he has hoodwinked the establishment, he has another think coming. (although she is not such a regular to this site. I have to thank MDodson for the inspiration)
