Before The Abyss (double siwuku)

siwuku -- five syllables per line, ten lines total. This a double of the form. Today I entered Dave on the waiting list for the Alzheimer's care unit of a residential care facility. So much better than I imagined, excellent care, activities, food (garlic lemon shrimp on Monday's menu)... but still, so much pain. I hope this poem captures it a bit.
