THE BEAUTY AT WAL-MART

This is my round five entry in my nine-round competition. She hated my entry last week, comparing it to British soap opera. Gakk! My life's a British soap opera. So, I want to do better this round. I'm posting early, allowing myself more incubation time. The prompt I'm using this round is "the middle of nowhere sings." Let me know what you think.
