Manny and Cat's Tales

I had meant to enter this in the "why I started writing" contest, but again, my military life someone detered me from finishing writing this memoir. I am still going to post it for myself because as a middle aged woman who started writing later in my life, I am going to live by Dara Torres quote "Don't ever let age keep you from living your dream" and writing is my dream. I began to write because of a man named ironically, Manny. He was not any ordinary man because he was in the military and I had an affair with him that lasted almost 10 years and now my military career has lasted almost 20 years. From the moment he touched me, electricity flowed through me like the words that form whenever my fingers touch the keyboard. He was the reason I joined the military and also the reason, I knew that I had to go to college in order to learn that there is more to life than a man.
