Star Reviews and Query Submission Package
Member of TheNextBigWriter now have easy access to a professional editor to help polish first chapters and submission packages destined for publishers and agents. TheNextBigWriter is pleased to announce a partnership with professional editor Erin Brown to provide the following services.
Star Reviews
Every quarter we'll select the first chapter of two novels to receive a free Star Review from Erin. The review will provide constructive and helpful feedback that can be used to polish the first chapter and make it as strong as possible. The review will be made publicly available on the site so that the entire community can learn and benefit.
Cost: Free with membership to TheNextBigWriter
Submission Edit Reviews
Before you submit your first three chapters and query letter to a publisher, have Erin review them. Eliminate typos, make the chapters shine, and get feedback from an editor before you send it in.
These packages are available to TheNextBigWriter members via the site. If you are interested, please contact us at editing (at) thenextbigwriter.com.
Package 1
- First 3 chapter evaluation (including the query letter), with general feedback and suggestions for improvement
- Cost: $120
Package 2
- First three chapters line edited (including the query letter), with suggestions for improvement and line-by-line copyediting.
- Cost: $240
The cost to these services will be applied to any additional editing you may choose to do via this service.
Erin Brown, Professional Editor
Erin Brown is a professional editor and has worked at several large New York publishing houses. She began her publishing career at HarperCollins Publishers, where she worked for over six years in virtually every genre, including mystery, romance, literary fiction, women’s commercial fiction and non-fiction. She was privileged to work with numerous bestselling authors including J.A. Jance, Bruce Feiler, Elizabeth Peters, Jerrilyn Farmer, Lawrence Block, Carolyn Hart, Mary Daheim, and many more. Most recently, she was part of the fabulous St. Martin’s Press team as an editor with the Thomas Dunne Books imprint. There, she enjoyed acquiring fabulous debut novels and editing such bestselling authors as Carole Matthews, Madeleine Wickham (a.k.a. Sophie Kinsella), Homer Hickam, Jincy Willett, Robin Pilcher, and many more.
